Terms of Service

Current basic tools — October 20, 2026

This section takes precedence over older descriptions of services for the current tools. People Finder is an independent informational service, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by a government agency and does not provide or facilitate government services.

The four free tools provide national name statistics, phone-number formatting and numbering-plan checks, email-domain DNS mail-capability checks, and U.S. Census address matching. They do not identify individuals, phone owners or mailbox owners; supply criminal, court, marriage or background reports; verify mailbox existence; or establish address occupancy, ownership or deliverability. There are no paid reports, trials, subscriptions or checkout in these tools.

Data may be incomplete, dated, unavailable or incorrect. A valid format or domain does not prove a number or mailbox is active. Geocoder coordinates are estimated from address ranges, not surveyed property locations. Independently verify information before relying on it. Do not use these tools for emergencies, safety-critical purposes, surveillance or harassment.

We are not a consumer reporting agency and these results are not consumer reports. You must not use them for employment, consumer credit, insurance, tenant screening or any other eligibility decision subject to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Sources are informational, not government certification or an endorsement.
